Do at home hair color (highlighting) kits work for dark hair girls?

yeah, just make sure u follow the directions and choose a good brand dye... like loreal... nothing cheap - it may turn ur hair an unwanted color ... the only problem i've ever had was applying the dye evenly... if u choose to dye it at home... try to get someone with experience to help u out if it's ur first timeDo at home hair color (highlighting) kits work for dark hair girls?
I would go to the salon it might turn out orange-like.Do at home hair color (highlighting) kits work for dark hair girls?
Not so much in my experience, you may end up orange. I learned my lesson and now I just go get it done every six weeks.
you need to buy regular hair bleach to strip all the color out first before putting on the dye you really want, sometimes it may take dyeing it a couple of times to get the color you want. If you have black or dark brown hair and you put the hair bleach on it, it will turn like a reddish color, you will just have to experiment. I have a different color of hair every month. lol
some times when i used highlighting kits it made my hair go an orangey colour, but depends on how long you leave it in for.... if you only leave it in for a shorter amount of time, it can make the hair a nice bronzey colour.
Not a good idea, they can go horribly wrong.
Yes, as long as it's virgin (never been processed) hair. I have black hair, and successfully dyed it red the first time I ever dyed my hair with no bleach or anything. Just leave it on a bit longer, and possibly use some heat (blow dryer, plastic cap maybe)
I use them and have very dark hair....I leave them on a extra 5 minutes then called for, I have no damage and the extra time makes the hair much lighter, otherwise you will have reddish highlights
i used them once and i would never use them again just think about it and if you do use them be very carefull hope this helps
Yes they do work but only if you know what you are doing. There is info about developer and toner you should look up before attempting it, but I don't know how dark your hair is so you might want to just google it.
