my hair is naturally really dark brown, ive only dyed it maybe twice in the past 3 years..i didnt dye it prior to then. i last dyed it to match my natural color again probably 7 or 8 months ago, its faded a lot but you cant even tell where its dyed and where its not.
i want to dye it again [to cover some grays] but i also want to maybe do just a few blondeish highlights, maybe just part of my bangs. Im pretty sure that hair is dye-free at this point.
how should i go about doing this? Should i just foil off the section i want highlighted and dye the rest? would that work okay? I know i'd have to time it out so the dye and highlights were finished at the same time... but would rinsing them together be a problem?
to dye it all, then go back and highlight it seems kinda dumb because the part of my hair i want to highlight doesnt have any dye in it, so why dye it only to lift it back out?
please dont tell me to just go to a salon, i can't afford to right now and ive had a tube of highlighting creme for a few months now but i just havnt been sure what to do.
thanks!Dyeing and highlighting hair at home, at the same time?
You spelled dying wrong.
