Question about highlighting hair at home ?

i have a box color that is the kind that you use on your entire hair , i don't want to dye my whole hair but i really like the color and its the best i could find . can you use a full hair color box for highlighting hair ? and if you can , how would you do it ?Question about highlighting hair at home ?
Yea, as long as it is darker than your normal hair colour. But then it is called lowlighting.





You have to get a highlighting cap, and the little pulley thingy.





You pull your hair through, apply dye, leave it on for however long it says, rinse it off, take cap off and VOILA! Beautiful lowlighted hair!

If you are going darker, than it might turn out ok. Box colour is very difficult to work on everyones hair. Noone has the same hair. They make box colour as if everyone has the same hair. Sometimes it turns out ok, but sometimes you get a really bad dye job. 5 dollar hair dye could end up in a corrective colour. Which starts around 200..or more.
