How to dye brown hair with highlights to blonde at home?

Please help. I don't have the money to go to a salon. I want a gold shade to add warmth to my skin tone. How to dye brown hair with highlights to blonde at home?
I don't think you can do this at home without the possibility of having striped hair as you won't be able to separate the highlights from the rest of your hair. All your hair would need to be bleached up to the same colour for the blonde to take evenly. (All colours lighter than the shade your hair is must be bleached, not dyed.) The highlighted hair shaft is more porous than the brown so will grab a colour far more quickly than where your hair is brown (assuming this is your natural colour). Also, the highlights will, probably, become over-processed and may break off. I think you should just add many highlights in the colour you feel suits you better - an advantage to staying with only the highlights is your roots don't need a re-touch every three weeks and you can add a third blonde shade in another six to eight weeks - this way, you'll have less breakage of your hair. How to dye brown hair with highlights to blonde at home?
Kimberly is a bot....

Okay, to do this it's best to bleach the places where you are going to dye first,..

That way your hair doesn't come out orange.

buy some cheap hair bleach...

At Walgreens they have temporary dyes that contain bleach with them...

make sure you have plenty of aluminum foil and someone to help..

tear aluminum foil into strips big enough to put the amount of hair you want highlighted completely into them...

apply bleach mix, cover with aluminum foil, and follow instructions..

it's best to remove one at a time and rinse with a warm wash cloth keeping the bleached hair separated from the rest,..

lay the bleached hair onto clean aluminum foil if needed to keep separate.

then apply the blonde die to the bleached area of hair and do they same thing,..

wrap in aluminum foil and follow directions that comes with dye..

once done you can get i the shower,.. once in the shower carefully remove the aluminum foil and wash hair thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner twice.

hope i helped.

can you help me?
