Looking into highlighting my hair at home. (details) please help?

I already have had my hair highlighted at a salon. But it costs too much. So I am thinking about doing to at home.

Which would be the best product to use that doesn't leave an orange tint, or that doesn't turn green in chlorine water?what do you use?

Thanks a million!!Looking into highlighting my hair at home. (details) please help?
It may be expensive to get it down at a salon, but it is worth it... if you cant afford it go to a cosmotolgy school they give you discount rates to acheive their work hours for graduation! You need the quality doing it yourself can seriously damage your hair!Looking into highlighting my hair at home. (details) please help?
Best advice: Don't do it. You really should let a professional do your hair. You may end up with straw colored wheat textured hair on your head!
okay, don't do it at home.

box color is very damaging.

since cost is an issue, why not go to a school? you will get salon quality work at a fraction of the cost. students are under the wings of licensed cosmetology instructors.

***your hair isn't your friends, so it may not turn out as good. box color and at home bleaching kits are much more harsh on your hair. the damage that could happen from a botched home color will cost more to fix at a salon later because its considered a corrective color.
PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!! you will only regret it and be charged even more when you go to a salon to get it corrected!
