Is it recommended to highlight my black hair at home??

I really want to streak my hair, but someone people said that it will go a really bad color, cuz of my dark hair. And if I do get it done in a salon how much would ir cost to streak my hair??Is it recommended to highlight my black hair at home??
DON'T YOU DARE!!! Please don't do your own highlights. I have done it before and it was a complete mess. I had to go to the salon anyways to get it fixed and it cost alot more money then highlights alone because they have to strip your hair first and then color it and then do the highlights and then deep condition and even after all that you hair will still be breaking and falling out for months. Save yourself alot of trouble and just go get it done professionally the first time. Especially since you have dark hair, you will never get it right....trust me!Is it recommended to highlight my black hair at home??
U..... I wouldn't do that at home. just incase u mess up i'd go to a salon. If ya mess up u have to live with it for a year. It depends on which salon u go to.
if you're not sure you should have it done professionally and it depends on how much you want covered w/streaks and how long your hair is - but probably 50 - 150 bux
I would go to a salon because you dont wanna mess up because you would be really upset...Good Luck!
unless you want red, don't do this at home. Cost varies from salon to salon. Try a partial for no less then $60. Or a couple of foils around the face, for less. Ask for the price.
I have black hair too! I would not do it at home. I think its 20 bucks at a salon. get brown or blond highlights
Please do not try anything drastic at home. The salon prices are variable, it might help if you visit the salon and ask the stylist personally (usually they do not charge for consultations).
Nooooooooooo! dont highlight ur hair urself I have quite light hair %26amp; did it myself once but it just wasnt the same as going to the hairdresser it had an orange glow so its definitely worth spendin a bit extra think about it ur hair its on ur head everyday its not like a bad outfit u can change the next day!!:)

do a color called Cherry Cola, It is very nice with dark hair.you have to go to a salon for that color.
